Canadian Lobster

The Canadian lobster (Homarus americanus) is year round available by Crusta BV. The origin of our lobster is the waters of Nova Scotia. The lobsters from Nova Scotia have the highest quality. All sizes are available. The meat of the lobster is very firm and has a very sweet taste.

King Crab

The king crab (Paralithodes camtschaticus) is sourced from the Barents Sea, north of Norway. The king crab is of best quality between August and February. During these months we have king crab in stock, but we can also supply on request between February and August. The average crab ranges from 2.0 to 5.0 kilograms, and its meat is delicately sweet. King crab levels are internationally monitored and the status of all certifying authorities is green.

Brown Crab

Brown crab (Cancer pagurus) is catched in the North Sea. All sizes can be delivered, as well weight and sexes. Our Brown Crab is catched with a responsible fishing method for fish and environment. Because of the fishing method our Brown Crab received a green label. Crusta B.V. is collaborating on many experiments with Dutch MSC fishing ships who are catching Brown Crab.

European Lobster

The European Lobster (Homarus gammarus) is from the waters of Scotland, Ireland, France and Norwegian. Because of this catch area has the lobster a high quality. All kind of sizes are available by Crusta BV. The meat of the lobster is firm and very sweet. Customors appreciate the European Lobster because of the hard shell. Razor Clam

The Razor clam (Ensis directus) grows upright at the bottom of the Sea. Our Razor clam is wildcaught in the North Sea. Because of the less salinity in this lake is the taste of our Razor clam magnificant. Besides that it is very important to make the Razor clams sand free during processing and packing.

Flat Oyster

The flat Oyster (Ostrea edulis) is the old Dutch Oyster kind. Our flat Oyster have been cultured in the Lake ´Grevelingen´. Because of the lower salinity in the Lake, the flat Oyster had a delicious taste. The flat Oyster from the ´Grevelingen´ is a typical Dutch Oyster.

Oyster Creuses

The (Crossostrea gigas) is from origin a Japanese Oyster, better known as the Creuse (Holland). The Creuses are well known about there growing speed and high meat content, because of there shell form. Our Creuse grows in the Lake ‘Grevelingen’ with a lower salinity, what makes the Creuse to a delicatessen.

The Crab claws (Cancer pagurus) are from the North Sea. Local fisherboats arrive weekly at the local auction. So our Crab claws are bought from our own auction. To make sure we can offer a high valuated product, we will select the Crab claws by ourselves at several auctions. The meat from the claws is famous because the light sweet taste and his firm structure.

Shorecrab

The Shorecrab (Carcinus maenas), also known as Green Crab, is caught in the ‘Oosterschelde’ and the Lake ‘Grevelingen’. Shorecrab is a small crab species with a size of 7 centimeters if it is full grown. The meat content is very low but the taste is very good. Because of the taste is the Shorecrab very usefull for the production of your own soup, Bisque or sauce/dressing production.
